Dr. Winkler Stiftung zur Förderung junger Talente

Private foundation

About the funder

Upon retiring as the long-standing managing director of CHIRON-Werke in Tuttlingen, Dr. Hans-Henning Winkler initially established a non-legal foundation in 2007, which in 2009 was registered as a legal foundation recognized by the Freiburg Regional Council, with its seat in Tuttlingen, in the Baden-Württemberg Foundation Register. The primary purpose is the promotion of young talents in the field of education, particularly vocational training and further education, as well as the support of needy and at-risk children and adolescents through financial grants in the form of scholarships, sponsorships, monetary and material resources, awards for outstanding achievements, and emergency relief.

Mission & Vision

The Dr. Winkler Foundation is committed to enabling young people to receive support from older generations in both material and ideal terms. Its goal is to assist particularly talented pupils, students, and trainees in developing their abilities, facilitating educational and study pathways, and at the same time opening up new perspectives for disadvantaged children and adolescents through financial aid. Voluntary commitment and a high degree of impact ensure the effective use of resources.

Target groups

Young talents with outstanding achievements in school, university studies, or professional development, as well as children and adolescents in socially challenging situations, are supported. This includes gifted individuals who require exceptional training or study conditions, graduates with top grades at regional universities, participants in master craftsman or technician courses, and vulnerable minors for whom sponsorships and financial support create new life and educational opportunities.
