Private foundation

About the funder

The Dr. Wolff Foundation is a private foundation under civil law based in Marburg, which has been providing senior-friendly, subsidized housing for low-income elderly people since 1611, while also operating a scholarship fund for needy, particularly gifted students of Philipps University Marburg. It manages extensive real estate as its economic backbone, maintains a residence for students with children, and awards scholarships through a special board chaired by a university professor. As a member of Diakonie Hessen, it aligns its work with diaconal principles and the Christian concept of humanity grounded in charity.
