About the funder

The Emsland Foundation "Work and Family" was established on December 12, 2006, by the Emsland district and the Emsland Economic Association e. V. with an initial capital of one million euros. Since then, it has supported companies, municipalities, and institutions in the Emsland district in promoting the compatibility of work and family life as well as equal opportunities in professional life. In addition to providing advice and awarding funding, the foundation initiates a regional quality seal for family-friendliness, offers certification workshops, and supports companies in implementing family-conscious personnel models. Furthermore, it promotes early childhood education as well as vocational training, continuing education, and further training for children and adults in Emsland.
