Ernst Freiberger-Stiftung

The Ernst Freiberger Foundation was established in 1994 by entrepreneur Ernst Freiberger. It is an independent, politically neutral, non-profit foundation based in Amerang (Chiemgau). Its commitment spans several areas of activity: promoting the culture of remembrance (including the "Street of Remembrance" at the Spreebogen in Berlin), integrating elderly people into society and research topics, supporting caregiving relatives, especially children and adolescents (the "Young Carer" project "WinDschatten Berlin"), operating the automobile museum "EFA Mobile Zeiten" in Amerang, as well as funding scientific and cultural scholarships (e.g., the Christoph Stölzl Germany Scholarship). The foundation exclusively and directly pursues charitable and non-profit purposes and focuses on sustainable impact through exemplary solutions to societal challenges.

The Ernst Freiberger Foundation sees its mission in assuming social responsibility and strengthening the common good. It advocates for a vibrant civil society, promotes remembrance and cultural projects, supports the elderly and caregiving relatives, and prioritizes research topics that have a decisive impact on the future viability of our society. In doing so, it operates independently, autonomously, and politically neutral.

The foundation's funding programs are aimed at children and adolescents who, as young carers, provide care for family members in need of assistance, as well as their parents; elderly people in their social integration; actors and projects of remembrance culture in Germany; researchers and students (e.g., scholarship holders at universities); and a broad audience for cultural education at the museum "EFA Mobile Times."
