About the funder
The Erwin Warth Foundation for Flora, Fauna, and Environment is a legally recognized civil law foundation based in Stuttgart. It was established in 1996 by the entrepreneur Erwin Warth (1912–1996). After his death, his life partner Hilde Stühlinger continued the foundation's legacy. Today, the foundation is managed by an executive team led by Andy Dostal, Konstantin Schenk, and Dennis Mikisch; Thomas Langrock also belongs to the full-time team as managing director. A professionally diverse advisory board continuously provides new impulses from business, science, and nature conservation. The foundation is a member of the Association of German Foundations and the Stuttgart Foundations Initiative Circle.

Mission & Vision
The Erwin Warth Foundation is committed to securing the preservation of flora and fauna by providing supportive funding for pioneering scientific species conservation projects and to giving new impetus to nature conservation. It particularly promotes innovatively designed, practically effective projects with solid scientific supervision that make results freely accessible and have a long-term impact. A special concern is to inspire children and young people for species conservation.
Target groups
The foundation's funding programs are aimed at scientists and nature conservation initiatives that carry out innovative, practice-oriented species protection projects and provide scientific support for them. It includes individuals and groups who wish to generate and share knowledge not only locally but also at a supra-regional level, as well as educational projects that specifically introduce children and young people to topics of ecological diversity and renaturation.
