Erzbischöflicher Seminarfonds
About the funder
The Archiepiscopal Seminary Fund Foundation is a legally independent ecclesiastical foundation under public law based in Freiburg im Breisgau. Founded in connection with the establishment of the Diocese of Freiburg at the beginning of the 19th century, it finances the training of Catholic priests. To this end, it provides the Archdiocese of Freiburg with the necessary funds for the operation of the Archiepiscopal Priestly Seminary Collegium Borromaeum as well as for the maintenance of the buildings designated for this purpose. The foundation's capital originates from secularized church properties, supplemented by additional allocations. The foundation serves as a guarantor for an independent and high-quality priestly education.
