About the funder

The Europahaus Marienberg (EHM) is an innovative, modern European educational center in northern Rhineland-Palatinate. Founded in 1951 as the first Europahaus worldwide, it has since served as the headquarters for over 100 comparable institutions in more than 30 countries. At the core of its work, alongside multimedia and methodological infrastructure, is the development and implementation of political youth education programs under the title "think europe." With a maker space, high-end technology (including virtual reality, interpreter systems), and diverse seminar rooms, the EHM promotes autonomous learning, intercultural exchange, and forward-looking ideas.

Mission & Vision

At the heart of EHM's work is European youth education "think europe." We inspire young people towards a responsible and creative European citizenship by designing innovative, contemporary, and personality-developing educational formats. Our educational framework supports participants in self-effective learning: from analog to digital, from simulations to virtual reality. We create enabling spaces for critical engagement, encounter, and the joint development of sustainable narratives for democratic futures.

Target groups

The offerings of the EHM are primarily aimed at young people from Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, and across Europe. This includes participants of youth seminars, international guest groups, school classes, and educational institutions seeking an in-depth engagement with European topics, political education, media literacy, and intercultural exchange. Our programs address individuals and groups interested in innovative, participatory, and activating formats.
