About the funder
The FAMAB Foundation is a non-profit foundation under civil law based in Berlin. It was initiated in December 2011 by former board members of the FAMAB Communications Association and has been officially recognized since June 4, 2013. The foundation supports and promotes social and charitable projects within the direct business communication sector – particularly in the areas of nature and environmental protection, vocational training and talent development, as well as science and research. A central concern is the compensation of CO₂ emissions through reforestation measures in the FAMAB Foundation Forest in the Mamoni Valley in Panama.

Mission & Vision
The FAMAB Foundation takes responsibility for reducing CO₂ emissions generated by activities in the live communication industry. It specifically promotes reforestation as a means of CO₂ compensation and is also committed to vocational training, talent development, as well as research and science in the fields of trade fair, event, and spatial communication. Through its engagement, it aims to strengthen the sustainable development of the industry and secure an intact environment for future generations.
Target groups
The funding programs of the FAMAB Foundation are aimed at companies, service providers, agencies, and individuals from the live communication and trade fair industry (fwd: Federal Association of the Event Industry e. V.). Projects and initiatives in the areas of environmental protection, CO₂ compensation, vocational training, talent promotion, as well as scientific studies and research with a clear industry focus are supported.
