Mission & Vision
The mission of filia.die frauenstiftung is to create a just and feminist world in which all women, girls, and LBTIQ+ individuals can live freely, safely, and autonomously. filia supports intersectionally discriminated persons and organizations, strengthens feminist grassroots movements, and fosters transformative social change through participatory decision-making, trust-based grassroots funding, and sustainable redistribution of resources.
Target groups
filia directs its funding programs towards feminist grassroots organizations, activists, and community groups that advocate for the rights of women, girls, and LBTIQ+ individuals, who face multiple forms of discrimination. This includes groups disadvantaged due to gender, origin, skin color, sexual orientation, disability, or experiences of flight and migration. In Germany, the focus is on empowerment-based approaches for girls, young women, and refugee women as well as LBTIQ+, while in Central and Eastern Europe, grassroots movements are supported to strengthen democratic structures and create safe spaces.
