About the funder
The non-profit ProCurand Foundation was established in 2010 in Berlin by Prof. Dr. Theis and Mrs. Masako Katagami-Theis. The family foundation manages, among other assets, its real estate and capital through the ProCurand Foundation Real Estate and finances innovative projects in the care and healthcare sector. It specifically supports start-ups and research projects in the fields of digitalization and innovation (e.g., telemedicine, AI-supported diagnostic tools, assistance systems) while simultaneously assisting those in need of care and their relatives through financial aid, counseling, and access to modern care concepts.

Mission & Vision
Our goal is to improve the quality, efficiency, and accessibility of care and healthcare, and to sustainably secure the attractiveness of care for all generations. To this end, we invest in innovative technologies and promote research and development to effectively address demographic change, the shortage of skilled workers, and changing family structures.
Target groups
The funding programs of the non-profit ProCurand Foundation are aimed at young companies and start-ups in the Age-Tech and Care-Tech sectors that develop digital solutions for care and health, scientific institutions and research teams with projects to optimize care quality and efficiency, as well as care-dependent individuals and their families seeking support in the form of advisory services, financial assistance, and access to innovative care concepts.
