About the funder
The Göttingen Cultural Foundation was established in 2002 by the City of Göttingen with an endowment of 720,000 euros. Its purpose is to support non-profit institutions and initiatives in the cultural sector that carry out projects within the city of Göttingen. From the annual returns of the endowment – most recently around 880,200 euros (as of December 31, 2024) – it awards project-based grants in various fields such as visual arts, music, literature, film, theater, dance, historical preservation, and socio-culture.
