GS-Kinder-Stiftung

The GS-Kinder-Stiftung was established in October 2019 as a trust foundation under the umbrella of the Kreissparkasse Verden Foundation. As a non-profit organization, it promotes equal opportunities for children and adolescents in the Verden district. It supports healthy school breakfasts, enables meaningful leisure activities in the afternoons and during holidays, and finances educational and cultural school programs such as theater performances, music courses, excursions, and trips. The goal is to lay a solid foundation for a self-determined life of young people through education and upbringing.

The GS-Kinder-Stiftung is committed to providing children and adolescents in Verden with equal opportunities regardless of their social and financial circumstances. Through targeted support in the areas of healthy nutrition, extracurricular leisure activities, and cultural education, it creates a carefree environment and strengthens the personal development opportunities of young people in the long term.

Children and adolescents in the district of Verden are supported, particularly those from families with limited financial or time resources. The target groups are schools, non-profit organizations, and projects that provide healthy school breakfasts, organize leisure activities in the afternoons and during holidays, or conduct cultural and school events, ensuring that disadvantaged young people have access to education, care, and meaningful recreational activities.
