Hans-Jürgen Werner Stiftung
About the funder
The Hans-Jürgen Werner Foundation was established in Hamburg in November 2008. The purpose of the foundation is to promote art and culture as well as monument protection and preservation in the Hanseatic City of Hamburg. The foundation evaluates and assesses individual projects worthy of support, such as monuments in need of restoration, significant paintings, art objects, and interiors worth preserving, with a focus on objects requiring urgent renovation. For the monuments it restores, the foundation assumes long-term responsibility and finances its work through donations in addition to endowments.
