The foundation is based in Fockbek. Originating from part of Harald Striewski’s life’s work, the foundation exclusively pursues charitable, non-profit, and ecclesiastical purposes. It promotes education and public education, vocational training (including scholarships), monument preservation, sports, as well as church work, particularly the furnishing of houses of worship. Furthermore, it supports economically disadvantaged individuals, especially children and youth from the communities of Fockbek, Nübbel, and Schülp.

The Harald Striewski Foundation is committed to using a portion of the wealth acquired through diligence and dedication for the benefit of the region and its people. Its goal is to promote education and vocational training, preserve cultural heritage, support athletic engagement, strengthen church work, and specifically provide sustainable opportunities for children and young people in need in the immediate vicinity.

Target groups

The funding programs of the Harald Striewski Foundation are aimed at economically disadvantaged children and young people from the postal code areas 24787 Fockbek, 24809 Nübbel, and 24813 Schülp. Support is also provided to individuals and groups requiring scholarships for education or vocational training, church congregations and institutions for the maintenance and furnishing of houses of worship, as well as non-profit associations and municipal institutions (e.g., sports clubs) for projects aligned with the foundation's purposes.
