HEAD-Genuit-Stiftung
About the funder
The HEAD-Genuit Foundation was established in 2008 by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Klaus Genuit, founder of HEAD acoustics GmbH, as a non-profit foundation under civil law. It supports and accompanies projects in science, research, and public health in the two main areas of psychoacoustics and pain therapy. The goal is to optimize the acoustic environment in public spaces and buildings, as well as to develop new therapeutic methods to improve the quality of life for people with chronic pain and arachnopathies. Funding measures include guest and endowed professorships, dissertations, study and research projects, awards, travel scholarships, measurement technology, and legal assistance.

Mission & Vision
The HEAD-Genuit Foundation is committed to making acoustic environments more human-friendly and enabling new, patient-centered therapeutic approaches for people with chronic pain—particularly those with arachnopathies. Through financial support, promotion of research, and knowledge transfer, we aim to sustainably improve quality of life and advance innovation in acoustics and pain therapy.
Target groups
Our funding programs are aimed at: scientists and institutions in the fields of psychoacoustics and technical acoustics who develop methods for measuring, analyzing, and optimizing noise environments; research groups and individuals pursuing patient-centered approaches in pain therapy, particularly for arachnopathy and chronic pain; as well as individuals affected by chronic pain whose cost coverage has been denied (e.g., for new therapeutic procedures).
