About the funder
The Helmut and Heidi Rentz Civic Foundation is a legally capable public foundation under civil law based in Ellerstadt (formerly Bürgerstiftung Ellerstadt). Founded by Helmut and Heidi Rentz, it has pursued since 2002 the goal of sustainably promoting local heritage, culture, landscape, and monument preservation as well as community-enhancing facilities, and improving the visual appearance of the municipality. It finances its activities from the proceeds of the foundation's assets and additional donations and grants subsidies for investments and maintenance work in the public sector and, exceptionally, also in the private sector.

Mission & Vision
The foundation transfers greater co-responsibility for shaping the future of their community to citizens and local institutions and contributes through targeted funding measures to sustainable village development and the improvement of the quality of life in Ellerstadt.
