Herbert Funke-Stiftung
About the funder
The Herbert Funke Foundation was established on March 15, 1996, by master shoemaker Herbert Funke as a non-profit and charitable grant foundation. As an exclusively funding foundation, it supports visually impaired and blind individuals as well as non-profit third parties in the fields of health, science and research, art, and culture. Its goal is to promote exemplary projects that sustainably ease the daily lives of the visually impaired, improve their social participation, and provide needy beneficiaries with aids such as magnifiers, glasses, and barrier-free computer workstations.
