Mission & Vision
The Ministry is committed to a safe and livable Hesse. Its goal is to ensure public safety and order, strengthen democratic culture and the rule of law, and promote municipal self-administration. To this end, it supports citizens, municipalities, and emergency services through preventive measures, modern technology, and transparent funding programs.
Target groups
The services and funding programs of the HMdI are aimed at municipal authorities, agencies and offices in Hesse, emergency and relief organizations (police, fire brigade, disaster control), associations, clubs, as well as all citizens who require information or support on issues related to internal security, administration, homeland, and funding opportunities.
