Private foundation

About the funder

The HKM Foundation is a non-profit private foundation established in 2018 by the Leverkusen entrepreneurs Heike and Klaus Müller. As a complement to the medium-sized, family-run construction project developer HKM, it focuses on the creation of needs-oriented real estate for disadvantaged people in Leverkusen and the surrounding area. It combines expertise in project development and construction with the specialized knowledge of non-profit organizations to sustainably strengthen the regional community. A key focus is on the care and support of children, adolescents, and seriously ill individuals.

Mission & Vision

The HKM Foundation is committed to bridging social disparities by constructing needs-based real estate and supporting local nonprofit projects. Its goal is to promote initiatives and organizations in Leverkusen and the surrounding area, enabling them to sustainably increase their impact and strengthen the community in the long term. In doing so, something is given back to the people who have helped shape the success of the HKM Group – for an even more livable coexistence.

Target groups

The funding and construction projects of the HKM Foundation are aimed at disadvantaged people in Leverkusen and the surrounding area. In particular, children and young people as well as seriously ill individuals should gain access to dignified care and housing services. To this end, the foundation cooperates with local non-profit organizations and institutions to realize needs-based properties and improve support services on site.
