Holzminden

The city of Holzminden, as a municipal administrative authority and funding provider, is responsible for the implementation of social and education-related funding programs. This includes, in particular, the Social Fund of the city of Holzminden, which supports individuals and groups in need facing exceptional hardships, as well as the local implementation of the Education and Participation Package for children, adolescents, and young adults receiving ongoing benefits under SGB II and SGB XII. The city administration operates in an unbureaucratic manner and subordinate to other service providers, aiming to bridge short-term financial emergencies and promote social equality of opportunity.

Our goal is to enable disadvantaged individuals and families to actively engage in social life through tailored support instruments and to accompany them on the path to sustainable independence.

Children, adolescents, and young adults who receive subsistence benefits under SGB II or SGB XII and thereby qualify for services from the Education and Participation Package are eligible for funding. Furthermore, the Social Fund is aimed at individuals or groups from the city of Holzminden who have fallen into acute financial hardship due to material or social disadvantages and whose needs are not covered by other social service providers.
