About the funder

The Jörg Wolff Foundation is a non-profit foundation established in 2004 and based in Stuttgart. It holds significant shares in JW Holding GmbH and uses the corporate profits generated from this to support three foundation objectives: development aid against hunger and disease, particularly in West Africa (well construction, school projects, teacher scholarships, emergency aid during the Ebola crisis); promotion of cultural institutions and young musical talent (scholarships for instrumental lessons, Bach Choir Stuttgart, organist training in West Africa); promotion of research and teaching on the health effects of optical radiation (annual Arnold Rikli Research Award with a prize of €10,000).
