About the funder

The Josef Wagner Foundation Friedrichshafen is a non-profit and charitable foundation based in the historic Landhaus Wagner in Friedrichshafen. Founded in 1972 by the engineer Josef Wagner, it exclusively pursues statutory purposes for the promotion of education and society. Since its inception, it has supported talented students and trainees, particularly in the technical and scientific fields, as well as individuals in need and social institutions in the Lake Constance district.

Mission & Vision

Our mission is to create educational opportunities and strengthen the social participation of disadvantaged individuals through targeted funding and partnerships. We support technical and scientific talents, assist kindergartens, residential, elderly, and nursing homes, as well as social service providers in the Lake Constance district and beyond. In doing so, we rely on continuity, transparency, and close collaboration with regional partners.

Target groups

Our funding programs are aimed at talented students and trainees in the technical and natural sciences fields (e.g., Germany scholarships at universities such as RWU, KIT, University of Stuttgart, HTWG Konstanz, University of Konstanz, University of Heidelberg, Zeppelin University, and Albstadt-Sigmaringen University), needy individuals and families in the Lake Constance district, kindergartens, residential, elderly, and nursing homes in the Lake Constance district (funding through local social service providers), as well as social agencies and non-profit organizations that provide for needy persons in accordance with the statutes.
