About the funder

The Jürgen Manchot Foundation was established in 1988 by Dr. rer. nat. Jürgen Manchot in Düsseldorf. Its aim is to support science and research through targeted financial assistance to gifted and high-performing talents. The foundation's logo – a penguin – is derived from the French meaning of the name "Manchot."

Mission & Vision

Target groups

Talented early-career researchers are supported, particularly in the fields of medicine and biology (only in connection with human medicine), chemistry, and economics. The foundation primarily awards doctoral scholarships and, following initial funding, also provides material resources for research projects.
