About the funder

The Carinthian National Park Fund Hohe Tauern is an off-budget state fund of the state of Carinthia, which, within the framework of the Carinthian National Park and Biosphere Reserve Act (§ 16 K-NBG), manages the funding of projects and investments in the Hohe Tauern National Park region. This includes, in particular, investment subsidies for alpine pasture buildings, measures for near-natural wildlife management, and other nature conservation, environmental, and infrastructure measures within the protected area. The processing of funding procedures is carried out by the Hohe Tauern National Park Administration (Department 8 of the Office of the Carinthian State Government), and the required data is processed in accordance with the Transparency Database Act 2012.

Mission & Vision

The Carinthian National Park Fund Hohe Tauern is committed to the sustainable development of the national park region. Through targeted financial support of projects and investments in alpine pasture and protected area infrastructure, nature-oriented wildlife management, as well as environmental and nature conservation measures, the fund contributes to securing the ecological integrity and quality of life in the region in the long term.

Target groups

Natural persons and legal entities are eligible for funding – in particular agricultural enterprises, landowners, municipalities, associations, and other organizations – that wish to implement measures in the Hohe Tauern National Park region in accordance with the National Park and Biosphere Reserve Act. This includes, for example, alpine pasture managers, hunting and nature conservation stakeholders, as well as operators of protected area infrastructure projects.
