Kai Havertz-Stiftung
About the funder
The Kai Havertz Foundation is a legal, non-profit foundation under German law (BGB and the NRW Foundation Act), registered with the District Government of Cologne. Founded by professional footballer Kai Lukas Havertz, it aims to support people with disabilities or illnesses, rescue neglected animals, and create therapeutic connections between humans and animals through animal-assisted approaches. Furthermore, it promotes young athletes as a path to personal development. All donations flow 100% into the implementation of aid projects; ongoing costs are privately borne by the founder.

Mission & Vision
With my foundation, I want to move from I to We. Because together we can help more, make a greater impact, and achieve more. The Kai Havertz Foundation aims to be a platform for compassion and action, enabling disadvantaged people and animals to participate in a self-empowering way. It supports projects that strengthen therapeutic human-animal relationships and use sports activities as a means of personal development.
Target groups
The target group of the Kai Havertz Foundation includes children, adolescents, and adults who are limited in their daily lives due to illness, disability, or social disadvantage; neglected and rescued animals that provide therapeutic value in animal-assisted programs; as well as young athletes—particularly disadvantaged youth who experience sports as an opportunity for personal development and strengthening social cohesion.
