About the funder
The Karin Lohmann Foundation is a non-profit, legally recognized foundation based in Berlin. It was established by Karin Lohmann to provide targeted assistance to children with life-shortening or severe fates, as well as disadvantaged and at-risk children and adolescents. The foundation fulfills heartfelt wishes, supports children's hospices and children's hospice services, and aids socially disadvantaged children, adolescents, and their families through financial resources and project-related grants. The board and advisory council work on a voluntary basis, and the use of funds is carried out in accordance with the statutes and in compliance with the standards of the German Central Institute for Social Issues (DZI).

Mission & Vision
Our mission is to support children and their families in exceptionally difficult life situations, to fulfill their wishes, and to sustainably improve their quality of life. We provide practical support to children's hospices and hospice services, assist disadvantaged and at-risk children and adolescents, and work with commitment and transparency to deliver effective aid.
Target groups
The target group of the Karin Lohmann Foundation includes children with life-limiting and severe illnesses, disadvantaged and at-risk children and adolescents in difficult social and family circumstances, as well as their parents, siblings, and caregiving institutions, particularly children's hospices and children's hospice services.
