Karmetta-Stiftung

Karmetta is a non-profit foundation under civil law based in Cologne, founded in 2008 by a couple from Cologne and friends. Under the guiding principle "Making a positive impact with compassionate understanding, empathy, and kindness," the Karmetta Foundation primarily supports charitable projects for socially disadvantaged people and animal protection initiatives. An experienced, volunteer team personally accompanies the supported projects and ensures that financial grants are used purposefully and sustainably. The regional focus is on non-profit institutions and locally operating associations in Germany.

The Karmetta Foundation is committed to the well-being of humans and animals, aiming to provide sustainable assistance through compassionate empathy, active compassion, and loving kindness. By combining financial support with personal guidance, it promotes charitable aid for socially disadvantaged children, families, and young people, as well as practical animal welfare and the improvement of legal frameworks for animals.

Only non-profit institutions and projects in Germany engaged in charitable aid and animal protection are funded. In the field of charitable aid, the focus is on child and youth welfare, children's hospice work, as well as services for socially disadvantaged individuals and families. In animal protection, the foundation supports needy animal owners, combats animal abuse, promotes species-appropriate husbandry, and advocates for improved legal frameworks.
