Funding of the Karmetta Foundation

The Karmetta Foundation continuously awards financial grants nationwide to non-profit organizations dedicated to the welfare of humans and animals. The focus of the funding is on charitable projects supporting disadvantaged children and youth, including child and youth welfare as well as children's hospice work, as well as initiatives in animal protection, such as assistance for needy animal owners and combating animal abuse. Approximately 60 percent of the funds flow into social aid services, such as SOS Children's Villages and facilities for socially disadvantaged families, while about 40 percent benefit the protection and promotion of animals. Formal requirements include proof of non-profit status as well as a clearly charitable or animal protection orientation.
