About the funder

The Kester-Haeusler Foundation is a public foundation under civil law, headquartered in the listed Haeusler Villa in Fürstenfeldbruck. It was established in 1987 by Mirjam and Gabriele Haeusler and approved in 1988 by the Bavarian State Ministry for Science and the Arts. According to its statutes, the foundation supports science, research, and culture in various fields – from its own research institutes (e.g., film psychology, international inheritance law, gerontology) through medical research and stuttering therapy to art projects, school collaborations, a music academy, and literary promotion. Additionally, it offers on-site academic courses through its Academic Platform and provides scientific publications free of charge for download.

Mission & Vision

The Kester-Haeusler Foundation is committed to sustainably strengthening science, research, and culture. It supports universities, research institutes, and cultural actors in teaching and research, initiates exhibitions, workshops, and awards, and makes scientific findings and artistic works accessible to a broad public.

Target groups

The funding programs and activities of the foundation are aimed at research institutes, universities, and early-career researchers from various disciplines, healthcare institutions and medical research, professional associations in the fields of care and inheritance law, gerontology, and film psychology, artists and cultural workers from visual arts, music, and literature, schools and students (in cooperation with schools and music academies), literary creators and publishers (awards, reading tours, honorary gifts), as well as an interested public participating in lectures, exhibitions, and online publications.
