The Kinder- und Jugendstiftung "Johanneum" is a legally capable municipal foundation under civil law based in Chemnitz. Mission & Vision
Children need our care because they are our future. With this guiding principle, the foundation is committed to initiating and financially supporting effective assistance in Chemnitz. The goal is to launch new, exemplary projects that creatively address the needs of young people, work in a networked manner, and sustainably create opportunities.
Target groups
The primary beneficiaries are socially disadvantaged children and adolescents in Chemnitz, who often find themselves on the margins of life. This includes boys and girls whose life plans are characterized by a lack of prospects or low self-esteem. The foundation targets regional independent and municipal organizations, initiatives, and projects that pursue new approaches in education, social integration, and personal development.
