Mission & Vision

The Naturefriends Youth of Germany is committed to a social-ecological future in which freedom, justice, and solidarity are lived values. Our mission is to empower young people to take responsible and creative action in nature and environmental protection, to act participatively, and to advocate for a livable society. We provide spaces and methods where children and youth can realize their ideas, gain experience, and actively shape their environment.

Target groups

Our funding programs are aimed at children, adolescents, and young adults – generally between the ages of approximately 6 and 27 – who have an interest in experiencing nature, environmental and climate protection, as well as social engagement. We address individuals as well as youth groups, school classes, and multipliers within youth organizations. The Naturfreundejugend offers these target groups opportunities for exchange, networking, professional support, and financial assistance for self-initiated projects and actions with social-ecological relevance.
