Köhler-Osbahr Stiftung zur Förderung von Kunst und Wissenschaft

The Köhler-Osbahr Foundation for the Promotion of Art and Science is a legally recognized private foundation established in 1986, headquartered in Düsseldorf. In accordance with the founder's intentions, it primarily supports the cultural and scientific life of the city of Duisburg. Its central funding activities include the "Duisburg Music Prize," the "Young Musicians' Sponsorship Award," and the "Music Education Prize." Furthermore, it manages and expands the "Köhler-Osbahr Collection," a permanent loan of ancient art and utilitarian objects as well as a collection of jewelry and coins, which is exhibited at the Duisburg Museum of Culture and City History.

The Köhler-Osbahr Foundation is committed to recognizing and sustainably promoting outstanding achievements in the fields of music and science. Through annually awarded prizes and exhibitions, it aims to support both established artists and emerging musical talent, as well as professionals in music education in Duisburg. At the same time, it contributes to the transmission of cultural and historical values by maintaining and expanding its extensive collection.
