Kölner Grün Stiftung

The Kölner Grün Stiftung is a non-profit foundation based in Cologne, dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of the city's green spaces. It acts as a coordinator between private and corporate donors, citizens, and political and administrative bodies to sustainably rehabilitate neglected areas and keep Cologne’s great garden vibrant for all generations. The foundation works closely with the City of Cologne and implements projects in partnership with specialist companies and employment agencies.

Engaging citizens – assuming responsibility. As a non-profit foundation, the Kölner Grün Stiftung promotes civic engagement and brings donors from business and society together with politics and administration to ensure and further develop the quality and maintenance of Cologne’s green spaces. Our commitment is to raise awareness of this unique urban cultural asset and to implement concrete measures for its sustainable preservation.

The funding programs and initiatives of the Kölner Grün Stiftung are aimed at private and commercial donors, companies, as well as civic initiatives and organizations in Cologne that wish to engage in the maintenance, restoration, and expansion of public green spaces. Citizens can actively contribute to the preservation of Cologne's green belt through sponsorships of trees or benches, as well as monetary and in-kind donations.
