About the funder

Art in public spaces, concerts, museums, theaters, cultural associations, and monuments – few regions are as rich in cultural offerings as the city and district of Karlsruhe. Since its founding in 1993, the Kulturstiftung der Sparkasse Karlsruhe has annually funded initiatives in the fields of art, culture, and monument preservation within the Sparkasse’s service area. With an endowment that has grown from 1.25 million DM at its inception to approximately twenty times that amount, it supports projects that are particularly close to the hearts of municipalities and citizens alike. Its governing bodies are the Foundation Council and the Board of the Sparkasse Karlsruhe.
