About the funder

The Kurt-Eberhard-Bode Foundation was established in 1987 by Eberhard Bode on the occasion of his 75th birthday and is named after his father, Dr. Kurt Bode. It supports excellent science and research in the disciplines of computer science, bioinformatics, biology, physics, chemistry, and medicine – especially at their interfaces. Since 2009, the funding focus "Water – Sustainable Resource Use" has existed, through which integrated, interdisciplinary junior research groups at universities and research institutes develop innovative models for a global and sustainable development of the water resource.
