Mission & Vision
The Burgenland State Government is committed to supporting families as the foundation of our society and enabling them to have equal opportunities from the very beginning. Through targeted funding programs, information services, and counseling, the Family Department creates conditions that prioritize the well-being of children and ensure the social participation of all Burgenlanders.
Target groups
The funding programs are aimed at families with their main or secondary residence in Burgenland, regardless of nationality and income. Support is provided to parents of toddlers and schoolchildren, single parents, multiple-child families, as well as families with low household income. Additionally, legal entities with a non-profit purpose – such as municipalities and associations – can apply for funding for holiday care to relieve working parents during school and kindergarten holidays.
