The City of Graz is the municipal authority and capital of the federal state of Styria. As the city administration, it is responsible for all urban tasks in the areas of administration, citizen services, social affairs, education, culture, and infrastructure. The City of Graz offers citizens a wide range of information and advisory services, coordinates municipal development programs, and supports projects aimed at strengthening social cohesion. A central element of its funding policy is the Graz Funding Model, which provides subsidies—such as for holiday camps—to support families facing social and economic challenges.

The funding programs of the City of Graz are aimed at families residing in Graz who hold an active SocialCard issued by the City of Graz. Within the framework of the summer camp program, children and adolescents from socially and economically disadvantaged households can apply for a 90% cost coverage for one- to three-week holiday camps. A voucher is issued per child and camp to enable families to enjoy a restorative holiday experience and to promote equal opportunities.
