Mission & Vision
The Leipziger Kinderstiftung aims to sustainably alleviate poverty and social exclusion among children and adolescents in Leipzig and the surrounding area. It provides rapid, tailored, and unbureaucratic support where public services are insufficient. As part of a strong network of social organizations, it creates equal opportunities, promotes participation, and strengthens the individual development of the youngest – because children are our most valuable asset and our future.
Target groups
Funding programs and projects are aimed at children and young people from low-income or disadvantaged families in Leipzig and the surrounding area. The foundation particularly supports those who, due to a lack of financial resources, have no access to education, culture, sports, and recreational activities. Parent-child groups as well as young adults between 16 and 26 years old also benefit, receiving education about risks in nightlife through the Nightlife Streetwork program.
