About the funder
The Ließem Foundation is a non-profit private foundation based in Bonn that supports disadvantaged young people in the Bonn and Rhein-Sieg area in their educational journey. It offers school-based holiday learning projects, learning training, career orientation measures, and tutoring, as well as equipment assistance for socially disadvantaged youth. At the university level, it awards monthly scholarships of EUR 300 at the University of Bonn and EUR 150 at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, as well as doctoral scholarships. In addition, it funds individual project applications and institutional support measures on a project basis.

Mission & Vision
The Ließem Foundation is committed to sustainably improving the educational opportunities of disadvantaged young people in the Bonn/Siegburg area and supporting them on their path to successful school and university qualifications as well as vocational training. Through collaborative partnerships with public and private educational institutions, it promotes motivation, determination, and perseverance.
Target groups
The funding opportunities are aimed at needy young people who are no older than 27 years and have had their primary residence in Bonn or the Rhein-Sieg district for at least five years. Both individual applications and institutional funding applications from schools and other educational institutions are supported.
