About the funder

The Losito • Kressmann-Zschach Foundation (LKZF) is a non-profit foundation based in Berlin, founded by the artist Donatello Losito and the architect Sigrid Kressmann-Zschach. Since 2010, it has supported projects in the fields of visual arts, graphics, and social engagement. Through donations and funding, the foundation annually supports changing projects, including non-profit associations and initiatives (e.g., UNICEF, Doctors Without Borders, local youth and inclusion projects), as well as awarding the Losito Art Prize for painting, drawing, and printmaking, which is presented every three years.

It aims to provide artists and nonprofit initiatives with a platform so that their projects generate societal impulses and contribute to cultural diversity, participation, and social cohesion.

Target groups

The funding programs of the LKZF are aimed, on the one hand, at professional and emerging artists in the fields of painting, drawing, and printmaking who distinguish themselves through innovative, contemporary works. On the other hand, the foundation supports non-profit organizations, associations, and initiatives active in the areas of education, social work, inclusion, international emergency aid, and cultural mediation.
