Mission & Vision

The Lübeck Theater Foundation is committed to the permanent and sustainable promotion of Lübeck as a cultural and theatrical location. Its goal is to establish a solid financial foundation alongside public funding to enable artistic highlights in music and spoken theater. By attracting private donors and benefactors, the foundation aims to generate a multiple of the initial capital in the long term and to make annually eligible disbursements to Theater Lübeck from the proceeds.

Target groups

The primary target group of the foundation is the Theater Lübeck gGmbH with its musical and dramatic productions. Special consideration is given to the house's work with children and youth: of the approximately 180,000 visitors in the last season, about 40,000 were children, adolescents, and young adults. Additional target groups are potentially supportive private individuals and companies who can contribute as founders and donors to the preservation and further development of the theater operations.
