Ludwig Quidde-Stiftung
About the funder
The Ludwig Quidde Foundation was established in 2011 as a non-independent foundation under the administration of the German Foundation for Peace Research (DSF). It has an endowment of approximately €178,000 and traces its origins to a private foundation founded in 2001. The purpose of the foundation is to promote research on the life and work of the 1927 Nobel Peace Prize laureate Ludwig Quidde, as well as to support projects in the field of peace and conflict research that are closely related to Quidde’s life goals – the safeguarding and development of peace and freedom. A central task is the awarding of the Ludwig Quidde Prize, endowed with €5,000. In addition, the foundation supports scholarly work, conferences, and publications on topics related to peace research and civil liberties.
