About the funder

The Lukas Sperling Foundation is a legal foundation under civil law based in Munich, established in 2010 to preserve the memory of Lukas Sperling and to continue his vision of a more just world through development cooperation. The foundation primarily supports educational and vocational training projects in developing countries worldwide (e.g., craft workshops in Tanzania, computer and sports courses in Uganda) as well as integration and literacy courses in Germany. By financing schools, microcredits, seminars, and public relations work, it contributes to the sustainable improvement of the living conditions of disadvantaged people.

Mission & Vision

The Lukas-Sperling-Stiftung is committed to fair and sustainable development cooperation based on the FAIRBRAIN concept developed by Lukas Sperling. It aims to reduce inequalities by creating educational and income opportunities both in Germany and in developing countries, while promoting awareness of global justice. Its goal is to help disadvantaged people gain new perspectives through knowledge, responsibility, and self-help.

Target groups

The funding programs of the Lukas-Sperling-Stiftung are aimed at disadvantaged population groups in developing countries (particularly in Tanzania, Uganda, and other African regions), including youth, women, and village communities who require access to vocational training, educational opportunities, and microcredits. In Germany, the foundation targets refugees and migrants, especially women participating in integration and literacy courses, as well as non-profit organizations pursuing similar development and integration goals.
