About the funder

The Main-Kinzig and Oberhessen Foundation was established in December 2012 on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of VR Bank Main-Kinzig-Büdingen eG. With an endowment capital of 150,000 euros, the foundation is dedicated to addressing the challenges of demographic change in the region. It supports projects that improve the quality of life for people, particularly by assisting youth and the elderly population. The foundation is closely connected to the region and focuses on sustainability in its work, guided by the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Climate Agreement.
