About the funder
The Manfred Ulmer Foundation for Science and Society at the University of Konstanz was established in 1979 by the Spaichingen entrepreneur and honorary consul Manfred Ulmer. With an initial endowment of 150,000 DM and subsequent additional donations, it supports selected teaching and research activities, early-career researchers, as well as study-related events at the University of Konstanz.

Mission & Vision
The purpose of the foundation is the targeted promotion of special tasks in teaching and research, the support of early-career researchers, as well as the organization of study-accompanying events. In doing so, it contributes to the further development of excellence in education and research at the University of Konstanz.

The foundation is aimed at the academic community of the University of Konstanz: in particular, early-career researchers, teaching staff, and students, as well as initiatives that organize study-accompanying events and innovative teaching and research projects.
