Marga und Walter Boll-Stiftung

The Marga and Walter Boll Foundation is a non-profit, legally independent corporate foundation under private law based in Kerpen-Sindorf. Founded in 1995 by Marga Boll, it supports science and research (basic and applied research in technical, economic, and social sciences as well as bio-, natural, and medical/health sciences) and social causes and institutions (health care, welfare, projects related to children, youth, families, and seniors, as well as education and training promotion). As a shareholder of Boll & Kirch Filterbau GmbH, the foundation’s assets are generated from corporate profits, securities funds, land, and real estate, and are used for construction projects and direct grants. Decisions on funding applications are made by a three-member foundation board, and the foundation office in Kerpen-Sindorf serves as the central contact point for applicants.

"Promoting good. Doing good." – The Marga and Walter Boll Foundation aims to improve people's quality of life in a needs-oriented and straightforward manner. The focus is on the well-being of individuals and professional partnerships with non-profit organizations and research institutions to implement impactful projects in the Rhein-Erft district region and beyond.

The funding is aimed at legal entities under private and public law with recognized non-profit status. Supported are scientific institutions and researchers conducting basic and applied research in technical, economic and social sciences, biological and natural sciences, as well as medical and health sciences (including pediatrics); social organizations and institutions implementing projects in the fields of healthcare, welfare, child, youth, family and senior services, as well as education and training support; and applicants addressing specific social issues or relevant scientific questions with a non-profit purpose.
