About the funder

The Marienheim Stuttgart Foundation is a church foundation under the supervision of the Bishop of Rottenburg-Stuttgart. Since 1887, it has provided affordable housing in the immediate city center of Stuttgart for working women as well as women in vocational training, further education, or continuing education. In its Art Nouveau building from 1898, which was extensively renovated in 1996/97, the 108 residents have access to modern single rooms as well as communal facilities such as a small chapel, a recreation room with kitchen, Wi-Fi, a bicycle cellar, and a laundry and drying room.

Mission & Vision

The Marienheim Stuttgart Foundation is committed to providing working women and women in initial, advanced, and continuing education with affordable, safe, and modernly equipped housing, offering space for their personal and professional development, thereby contributing to their independence and quality of life in the state capital.

Target groups

The services of the Marienheim Stuttgart Foundation are aimed at women aged 18 and over who are employed or undergoing initial, advanced, or further training. A prerequisite for a dormitory place is independence (no social care), female gender, and a gross monthly income of up to a maximum of EUR 2,045.
