About the funder
As a civil law foundation, the Marriott Foundation is primarily operationally active in contemporary education. Since its establishment in 2008, it has been committed to upbringing, general and vocational education, sports, arts, and culture. Since 2013, it has additionally supported development projects abroad. It is a member of the Stuttgart foundation circle "Opportunities for Education and Work" and is dedicated to enabling education in a holistic manner. The basis of its work is the UNESCO Four Pillars model: learning to acquire knowledge, to live together, to act, and to live.

Mission & Vision
Supporting children and young people in their personal development to the best of our ability – this is contemporary education for us. Together, we develop the timetable of the future not for, but with the young people. Our aim is to impart knowledge and experiences that contribute to a responsible, self-determined, and happy life.
Target groups
The Marriott Foundation primarily targets children and adolescents of all age groups, particularly in Stuttgart and the surrounding region. It supports educational projects in schools and extracurricular institutions to foster a sense of responsibility, teamwork, and creativity from an early age. Furthermore, it supports civil society actors and development projects that contribute to education, culture, and sustainable development.
