Meyer-Stiftung
About the funder
The Claus and Brigitte Meyer Foundation was established in 2005 by Prof. Dr. Claus Meyer and his wife Brigitte as a legal and charitable foundation under civil law. The foundation is based in Ispringen. Its purpose is to promote science at Pforzheim University and to provide financial support to needy students who would not be able to continue or successfully complete their studies without this assistance. In addition, the foundation annually awards the Thomas Gulden Prize for outstanding theses and has been supported for many years by Alfred Kärcher SE & Co. KG in the awarding of the Alfred Kärcher Prize.

Mission & Vision
Our mission is the sustainable promotion of scientific education at Pforzheim University. We are committed to ensuring that students who find themselves in hardship through no fault of their own can successfully complete their studies through financial grants, loans, or scholarships. At the same time, we honor outstanding academic achievements of our scholarship recipients through awards such as the Thomas Gulden Prize and the Alfred Kärcher Prize.
Target groups
Students of Pforzheim University are supported, particularly those who have fallen into hardship due to personal, financial, or health-related circumstances and would otherwise be unable to continue their studies. In exceptional cases, students from other universities may also be supported, provided that no alternative funding options are available and a successful completion of studies is anticipated.
