About the funder

The non-profit Michael Linckersdorff Foundation was established in 2022 and recognized in the same year by the Ministry of the Interior of the State of Brandenburg. It is dedicated to promoting education, culture, and civic engagement, particularly through the use and restoration of historic properties such as the Freienwalde Castle ensemble. The foundation is financed through rental income from Freienwalde Castle as well as lease income from the Kongnæs Ventehalle in Potsdam. Since early 2023, the foundation has owned the listed monument ensemble of Freienwalde Castle and operates public events there, as well as the Walther Rathenau Memorial.

Mission & Vision

The Michael Linckersdorff Foundation supports education, culture, and civic engagement in eastern Brandenburg.
